Focus on consuming a variety of nutrient- rich foods. you must consume a wide variety of nutrient-dense foods from all food groups, including green vegetables, fruits, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
Limit processed foods, sugary beverages and excessive salt intake. A balanced diet provides the body with essential vitamins, minerals and energy needed for daily activities.
2) Stay hydrated- Drinking enough water is essential for maintaining optimal health and body function. Aim to drink 8-10 glasses of water daily or more depending on the activity levels and climate. Proper hydration helps regulate body temperature, supports digestion, improves concentration and maintains healthy skin.
3) Maintain a healthy weight –overweight or obese is a risk factor for various health problems, so monitoring the weight regularly and aiming to maintain a healthy BMI ( body mass index) by balancing calorie intake and expenditure through appropriate exercises.

4) Exercise regularly –Engage in at least 200 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity or 80 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity per week, along with muscle-strengthening exercises on two or more days per week. Many adults focus only on cardio workouts,but strength training is equally important. Resistance exercises help build muscles , improve bone density and enhance metabolism.
Strength training can include:
- Body weight exercises
- Resistance bands
- Free weights
- Gym machines
Aim for at least two strength- training sessions per week.

5)Get enough sleep – most adults need 7-9 hours of sleep per night for optimal health and well-being. So, make a habit of a regular sleep routine and create a sleep-conducive environment to get a good night’s sleep. Good sleep supports immune function, memory, mood regulation and recovery from physical activity.
6) Manage stress- stress can negatively impact physical and mental health. High stress levels are associated with anxiety, depression,high blood pressure and weakened immunity.
